Nice try. I'm Unix based.
So Am I . . .
Why haven't you upgraded to Hardy?
I did, but with mixed results. I was using the Turboprint driver for the
Canon 5000. That doesn't work any more because of an obsoleted
dependency. I don't want to pay again for the new version, 2+ something.
The majority of my self installed executables got wiped out in the
upgrade, including the Linux version of rx320. I had to recompile. When
I did the upgrade, I didn't realize so much was going to be overwritten.
It's a good thing I had a separate partition called /store that didn't
get changed. All my downloads live there. My /home partition is never
formatted either.

Thanks..
- Hence my caution to upgrade; If theres no clear benefit, why change
a thing ?
Still like this about as much as XP; - but IT'S FREEEEE!!!
I think GIMP is as good as Photoshop.
Their word processor as much as word,
Firefox and Opera are very good.
XMMS is as good as Winamp, but I use VLC. The real Cadillac of media
stuff is Amarok. Too fancy for me. I love the free part.
