Default yard sale find

Yet if ebay didn't exist, I wouldn't have even a fraction of my current
collection. I buy Nixie tubes from Russia, audio tubes for guitar amp
projects from around the world, and any various components for radio
restoration. Salt Lake City is not typically known for its abundance
of hamfests and electronic swaps.

I am able to do more now with my electronics hobbies than I was ever
able to do years before internet access.

And this is why some people hate eBay. Had you gone to eBay
for this radio, you would probably be competing with others
bidder that knew what the radio is worth. Even if the seller
did not.

The done side of the lack of competition is that had you not
bought it for $10, it probably would have ended up in a land
fill.
