Default Effective length of braid dipole antenna

In the center of the article is an antenna called a double bazooka dipole
made with some coax, I think this is what you may be looking for. I had
only seen antenna plans using coax in the construction of J-pole antennas
before. Live and Learn

note for qrp portable operation you can actually make the antenna field
tunable. just strip the jacket off the coax far enough for the lowest
frequency of interest and fold back the braid over itself. to tune a higher
band just push the braid back up to cover the center conductor to shorten it
to the new frequency. doing this a lot may wear out the braid, but for a
temporary portable or emergency antenna it works just fine.
