Default Not Ham but Marine Radio

A very nicely designed receiver, but...................I purchased one of
these a couple of years ago, and it also had some rust. All of the
bandswitches were corroded/rusty, to the point where the radio didn't work
most of the time. This seems happen too often with seaside radios. I don't
know if it is the corrosive salt air or not. The only thing that was
salvageable from the whole radio was the tuning capacitor. I threw the rest
of the radio out.
It would really be a good idea to actually test this radio, so another poor
soul such as myself doesn't end up with a rusty paperweight.
