Au contraire, mon frere...what's so 'astonishing'? It's crystal clear
that the Repubs have had the most to do with "bringing on this crisis".

What is crystal clear is that you don't have a clue.

The -Republicans- have been in power for *8* years. They have done
NOTHING to avert the crisis in that time.

Yes, they did not do enough to stop it.

Worse yet, this has been the most pro- Big Business (read greed),
anti-working man Administration in history, something that's -not-
conducive to squelching the greed of Big Business.

No, blame the Federal reserve bank not big business.

Certainly there is enough blame to go around for both parties, but
please, don't treat us as gullible and try to give the Repubs a free pass.

Both parties were in control of different branches so yes blame them
both.

And by all means blame them both for taxpayer supported socializing of
private banking debt. Oh yeah, and blame them both for making things
worse with this so called bailout for at least the next few years.

Hey there Billy boy, which party crafted the legislation that
deregulated the banking and loan industry?

Which party has been in control of the all powerful banking and finance
committee for years?

Which party has always had a mandate to encourage banks to make toxic
loans to minority groups and even illegal aliens?

Which party has it's operatives installed in the management of the
quasi-governmental lending organizations that issued the majority of the
toxic debt?

Which party members have gotten the majority of campaign contributions
from those same quasi-governmental lending organizations?

Go read up to find the answers to these questions and get a clue if you
can.
