It does not matter if they lie to you or lie to themselves and you
nothing breaks immediately like an engineered machine would. Instead
society is gradually lead astray until the institutions it relies on
stop working. Then there is a crisis that needs attention.

I say schools should teach little kids how to be more sophisticated news
consumers. Right now, the powers that be are more interested in keeping
most people dumb and easily manipulated.
