That's silly. There is on reason for it not to work.
Really? How about inferior tuners in all the HDTV receivers already
deployed? It could work, but not without everyone buying a new TV.

My friend has a new high end Sony, and had to go to cable, as over the
air HD was trashed by a nearby paging tower, and sometimes by the FM
station a couple miles away (Lines on the screen move in time to the
audio. The damn thing also picks up CB sometimes, all distorted, but
understandable.
Sony is not being helpful at all. The dealer tried a few things, some
kind of filter, but it did nothing. On cable, it's fine, but he was
trying to avoid paying that bill every month.
