On EBay, the Power-One International Series of 24 Volt switchers will handle
wide input ranges. It would just be a matter of tweaking the regulator
detect circuit -- I don't even think it would require adjusting the
compensation. These supplies typically sell for under $40. There is a
power supply section under test and measurement. Cheaper to buy than build.
