I've been told the Republican Party has exclusive franchise on
Christianity;
it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle
than a non-Republican to enter the Kingdom of God.
Whoever told you that is a fool.
It was one of my right winger pals at work, the one all worried
that the homosexuals had some agenda to indoctrinate his children
into anal sex. David, I think he IS a fool.
One truism about politics is that all sides have their fools. I have
a very good friend who has never met a conspiracy theory he cannot
believe. Good man, just not the brightest political bulb in the box.
This fellow had six kids and was home schooling them all. He wanted to
see homosexuals denied employment of any kind, and saw homsexuality
is one of the major problems the country was facing. That, and immigration
(from Mexico only).
David had a master's degree in mechanical engineering, but never managed
to complete a single project in the 8 years that he worked in my group.
He also had a 50 caliber sniper rifle which he boasted of firing in his
neighborhood on New Year's eve.
Because I am a social liberal and a fiscal conservative, David always
told me he couldn't see how I got my security clearance, and said it
was treasonous for me to criticize President Bush "during wartime".
