Default A SSB Transceiver from the BC-453 by W6IQY

The following message was posted by "Frank" back in 2005:

"I actually have a copy (in pristine condition) of a publication
(first edition, first printing, April 1961) by Western Radio Amateur
Magazine for conversion of a BC-453 to a complete 40 meter
transceiver. It was a design by Ed Marriner, W6BLZ and Ernie Mason,
W6IQY."

If anyone has this manual or has any notes, schematics or articles by
Ernie Mason, W6IQY (SK), please contact me. I would like to buy them
or copy them. Ernie was a lifelong family friend and I am trying to
gather all of the information that I can find about the many SSB
radios he designed. I have some notes from his estate and two later
SSB transceivers that he made. I would also like to hear from anyone
who knew him.

Ed Marriner was a prolific writer, and lived within a couple of miles
of Ernie and wrote about Ernie's designs. If anyone knows of other
articles that Ed did about the SSB radios that Ernie made, I would be
very interested to hear about them and get copies if possible. I have
a copy of a two page article that Ed wrote in a magazine, that I is
referred to as WRA (Western Radio Amateur), about the BC-453
conversion which indicates that Ed had large prints and construction
photos available for $3. If anybody bought those prints or photos, I
would be interested in buying them or copying them or getting copies
of them.
