I noticed that Radio Shack has a digital capable scanner on sale until
Christmas, called the PRO-106, for $400. What is the difference between
the PRO-106 and the PSR-500? The only difference I can see is the PRO-106
has a little wider coverage around VHF-High T band and it doesn't come with
a AC power adapter and PC cable adapter.

PSR-500 Frequency Range PRO-106 Frequency Coverage
* 25-30 Amateur Band 10 Meters * VHF low 25.00000-54.00000MHz
* 30-50 VHF Low Band
* 50-54 Ham Band 6 Meters
* 108-137 Aircraft Band * VHF aircraft 108.00000-136.99166MHz
* 137-144 Federal Government * VHF high 137.00000-174.00000MHz
* 144-148 Amateur Band 2 Meters
* 148-174 VHF High Band
* 216-405 UHF Mil Air Band * VHF high 216.00250-299.93750MHz
* 406-420 Federal Government * UHF low/t 300.00000-512.00000MHz
* 420-450 Amateur Band 70 Cm
* 450-470 UHF Band
* 470-512 UHF "T" Band
* 796-824 800 MHz Band * UHF high 764.00000-960.00000MHz
* 849-869 800 MHz Band
* 896-960 800 MHz Band
* 1240-1300 Amateur Band * UHF high 1240.00000-1300.0000MHz

Also, the PRO-106 speaker is supposedly a little tinning but at least it on
the bottom of the scanner. How is this OOUI paradigm different from my
Uniden BC246T's dynamic memory model? Thank you for your time and
assistance!
