Steve, I can tell you you will be the happiest chap in Holland
Michigan when you launch out and buy a brand new 7600 out the box.
Unpacking that baby and switching it on first time is going to be an
orgasmic experience you don't want to deny yourself.

Don't worry about the Drakes - you will fail long before they do. You
are not a monk in a monastery, you have not taken vows of poverty.
Splurge out in your old age and give yourself a BIG thrill and get the
latest Icom IC-7600. You will never regret it, as once you've seen
that marvellous spectrum scope you will be hooked, as will those razor
sharp DSP filters impress you.

The whole experience is like moving up from a beat up old 70's VW
Beetle to the latest Caddy with all the gizmo's and every bell and
whistle.

Go spoil yourself, you deserve it, and take a trip to the Dayton
Hamfest, it's only a comfortable days drive from your QTH and you can
place your order and get a good deal.

Have fun and good DX
