JRC Nrd 525 Modded.
Kenwood TS-850SAT. Recently recapped
Icom R71A- Totally dead. I haven't looked at it yet, hoping for the
best.
Allied SX-190 kind of works.
Hammarlund HQ-100, modded to extreme levels.

Assorted speakers and audio filters, etc.

Antennas: (Some will be gone soon, and replaced with new ones)

1. Alpha-Delta DX Sloper.
1. Attic longwire.
1. Slinky dipole.
1. Crawl space loop (Disappointing)

I mostly listen to UTES, fishing boats, military, and FAX are my
favorites, but I really miss the made up news that used to come from
Cuba, the USSR, etc. The kooktards like you, Telemundoh, and kookpages
likehttp://stargods.org/have more than made up for them though. It's
like finding a treasure chest of comedy almost every day.

I find fanatics on both sides of the political spectrum posting to radio
groups very silly, to put it mildly. Way too silly to take seriously,
Telemundoh.

I do, sometimes, but the political nonsense is too much to resist, and
it totally dominates the group right now.

Not really, I don't DX much at all, and I'm not a program listener. I
mostly listen to utilities. I never got into the QSL thing much either.

You have the AD DX sloper like, imagine that.:-)

It's been a good antenna, but it's nearing it's last days in it's
present form, as the "tail" is falling apart, so I will probably take it
down and at least redo part of it. I think it's been up there for 10
years now. My older slinky longwire was the best antenna I ever had, and
I have one of the Ebay dipoles ready to go up as soon as I can get a
friend to climb my tower.

I am familiar with your Hammarlund HQ 100.........I saw it
live and in person ONE TIME and I wanted it so bad, you have the one
that is modded out, that's cool.

It's got 3 extra tubes in it, and also an SSB product detector. I paid
$58 bucks for it, and other than a tube that went bad a few years ago,
it's been great, and performs very well. It's been totally recapped, and
I'm glad it was, it's a real mess under the chassis with all the mods,
and whoever did them used the same color wire for almost all of them,
and it's totally confusing, and the wires are all tied up and it's
almost impossible to figure out what's going on without a VOM check.
The only visible mod is someone drilled two holes where the clock blank
off plate goes, and did a bad job of it.

I have the HQ 129X with the Heathkit Q- Multiplier that just tears it
up on both the shortwave band.but particulary on the BCB, but it isn't
working now. I wished Brenda Ann lived here in the states, I would be
much happier. I also have the HQ 140X along with a few others.:-)

I had a 140, but it was a mess. It picked up two local BC stations,
barely. I sold it to a Hammarlund fanatic I know, and it's all fixed up
and his brother has it now.

I'll give a shout out to one of the nicest people in this usenet
group, Brenda Ann fixed and got my GE P-780's back on the turntable.
If anyone has a radio problem, IMO it cannot hurt to at least speak
with her, she won't lead you down the wrong path. Thanks for the
response BDK, it'd be cool to read what you hear from wherever your
QTH is.

I've had some people in the groups help me out over the years, both for
SW problems, and for scanners.

I haven't listened much lately, had other things I had to do.
