I had an R-4C for a while, it didn't work too well, it
needed work. I
was able to sell it almost instantly for a nice profit. I
would like to find another one, that actually works well,
again some day. But I would rather have a Hammarlund HQ-180A
instead.

Thanks, but I have no money for any new toys right now. Besides,
turning the HQ-100 on alone makes this room about 5 degrees
warmer in the spring and summer, enough to take it from "okay" to
"miserable". A bigger tube rig would end up being a very heavy
paperweight.

MORE TUBES IN IT, would make the room even warmer, so I would never

it half the year or more, making it an expensive, big paper weight. If

don't use a radio, I usually don't keep it. I have 3 main rigs
already,
the two NRD's and the Kenwood, so I don't need any more receivers
right
now.
