Here is a challenge for you, Roy. Set up a short resonant
1/2WL dipole. Install your current pickups 1/3 and 2/3 of
the way from the feedpoint. Obviously that will be 30 degrees
of antenna.

Measure the phase shift between those two points using
the same care as you used with the loading coil.

I'll bet you $100 that you will not measure a 30 degree
phase shift. EZNEC says it will be closer to 3 degrees.

What would be your conclusion if you indeed did measure
3 degrees as EZNEC predicts?

P.S. Would someone please forward this to Roy since he
has Plonked me and refused my emails?
