So your argument of all these low power
religious stations "cluttering" up the lower FM band is pretty much
irrelavant. No one listens to that end of the dial much.
A few of my presets that get scanned regularly:
KSDS 88.3
Campus station for San Diego City College
XHITT 88.7
Campus Station for Instituto Tecnologico de Tijuana
KPBS 89.5
SDSU PBS outlet
KCRA 89.9
Santa Monica PBS
KPFK 90.7
Pacifica network
BTW - I haven't found any religious stations down there,
and even our two pirates 96.9 & 106.9 are currently dark.
Actually the "land grab" during the LPFM license windows didn't include only
the EDU segment. I've seen licenses issued to churches and religious
organizations across the dial. And those don't count the dozens of KLUV
satellators strewn across the country.
