Maybe Telemundoh IS a TV evangelist, scamming gullibles for their cash,
living in a mansion while his "flock" are living in trailers, tithing
their 10% (Verified by their tax info, like a couple of the slimier
churches do around here). Money many of them need a lot more than the
preacher needs a new car, or the church needs a bigger, fancier
building.
Or like Tammy Faye Bakker needed a solid gold water fixture for her dog
in his dog house. :-(
Remember, the 'PTL' in her PTL Club stood for Pass The Loot.
I remember seeing PTL the first time, and I was nearly convinced it was
a put on. The first thing I saw was Tammy in mid melt down, with the
Raccoon eyes and mascara running down. I watched it every chance I got,
it was hilarious. I couldn't believe it when I read in some magazine
that Jim Bakker was considered one of the most sincere TV preachers. I
thought he was about the least sincere of them all.
