The BBC has been reporting today that the Tamil Tigers are just about finished.

Noticed this log from earlier in the week indicating that propagation to Sri
Lanka is improving:

11905, SRI LANKA, SLBC Colombo-Ekala *0020-0050, May 14, English. IS at s/on
followed by choral-like vocal mx; brief Hindi-like mx at 0024 then W ancr w/
solid ID "This is the (English ?) service of the Sri Lanka Broadcasting
Corporation.." & freq announcment; various mx selections followed w/ IDs & pips
(5+1) at 0030 & 0045; first positive ID I've ever logged for this station; fair;
checked // 7190 per T. Krueger tip but only AOR chatter noted. (Barbour-NH via
DXLD)
============================================

As an additional note, Aoki shows 7190 to be 10 KW ND and 11905 to be 250 KW beamed
350 degrees.

Carrier came up at 0016 on 11905 with test tones till 0020. Sign on sequence pretty
much as Scott has described above.

Weak, but still audible. Pretty darn close to a perfect gray line, and improving here
as sunset approaches my QTH (location, for those in Glendale)

Using the Drake R8B and 70' N-S wire.

Still holding up quite well here at 0110.
