Most people voted no because the propositions were indecipherable. I
still don't know what they were about.

The mouth-breathing teabaggers are trying to characterize it as some
kind of tax revolt by liberal Californians, but I think it was more a
combination of confusion and indifference.

Not really. The fist six extended the recent tax hikes for two more
years. The last one, the only one that passed, stated the legislature
can not vote themselves a raise if the budget was not balanced or in the
black.
