Default Memorial Day Weekend Logs

SLBC (p), Columbo, Sri Lanka on 11905 at 0025 in unid language.
Remembering Steve’s recent log, thought I’d try. At about 0025 it
sounded like a M & YL talking and then into subcontinental mx. The
subcont music held up well against the noise crashes, but the noise
was predominating after 0030. Sio-131, call this possible, instead of
probable. (Bryant-KY, Icom R75, May 25)

AIR, Bangalore, India on 9870 at 0030 in Hindi. Vividh Bharati
(Domestic Entertainment) prgm w/ several uninterrupted instrumentals,
YL w/ ID in Hindi at 0030, then into flute music. Sio343, good.
(Bryant-KY, Icom R75, May 25)

VOA, Iranawila, Sri Lanka, on 9335 at *0030 in Pashto, targeted to
Afghanistan. Two M w/ world news. Sio-343, very clear, despite a
little QRN. (Bryant-KY, Icom R75, May 25)

R. Cairo, Abu Zabel, Egypt, on 9360 at 0035 in Portuguese. M & YL,
prob news. Sio-232, QRN. (Bryant-KY, Icom R75, May 25)

R. Cairo, Abu Zabel, Egypt on 11590 at 0045 in Arabic. YL talking over
drums in background. Sio-343, audio somewhat muffled. (Bryant-KY, Icom
R75, May 25)
