Well, if you followed them, you would notice some posts go for days,
close to a week without a response, so it only makes sense to post the
whole thing, just so people know what you're replying to.

It ****es me off when people cut so much out of a post to the point of
making the post totally nonsensical unless you just happen to remember
it, or the thread has it in another post.

If you use a real newsreader it will find old posts in the thread.
