Default iBiquity wants a power increase?

IBiquity hasn’t demonstrated consumer or broadcaster acceptance but in
every way has inflated and distorted statistics in an attempt to give
the perception to the FCC and the world that their digital radio
system is on the verge of a consumer explosion. IBiquity HD radio has
been around several years with essentially zero growth. To allow them
a free Government handout in the form of a power increase is an
injustice to broadcasters and consumers. IBiquity Digital Corporation
should be allowed to fail or succeed based on the original concept of
letting consumers and manufacturers decide. Not on a handout from the
FCC.

They must have believed that at current power levels consumers would
welcome it because they spent millions in past years on advertising
and other promotional gimmicks. Now, when there’s solid evidence that
consumers and broadcasters don’t want it they petition for a power
increase? I challenge iBiquity to prove the need for a power
increase based on solid evidence of consumer acceptance.
