Just curious: are folks filtering out 'gignews.com' or 'supernews.com'?
Lately, in a number of newsgroups, I have received no replies and yet
others who posted nearly identical responses did receive replies (but
posted using other NNTP servers).
I write it off as the newsgroups getting too damn cliquish.
Just like Junior High. Too many of the lurker/occasional posters
have just dropped out, so it's just the regulars talking to one
another. And many of them won't deign to answer even a direct
question.
Some time ago I noticed threads that suggested some tendency to
blanket filter on the above NNTP providers.
Here's the Path: header from your message here. So it got to Bellsouth
and Highwinds (which is the real source behind around a half a dozen
NSPs, like Newsguy and Teranews).

Somebody appears to be filtering out crossposts to the alt.fan.l*mb**gh
and r.r.s, (or maybe it's the ones with too many crossposts). I don't
get them from Highwinds, but do from other feeds. (That helps this
group a bit for some folks. So Roy, don't bother doing it).
Don't worry about Roy. That retard is busy changing all the subject
lines in the threads just to screw people up.
