Telamon will be along to tell us all that the 'portable'
HD-Radio "Chip Set" does not exist; and that this
HD-Radio can not possibly run 10 Hours on a set
of built-in [USB] rechargeable Batteries.

Oops... NO Speaker just a pair of Ear-Buds.

A Pocket HD-Radio without a Speaker Ain't a Pocket Radio.

I think that the only reason that it runs for 10 hours, is that the
chip is completely stripped down, as evidenced by the complete lack of
features. Funny, in the table-top models they have digital AM/FM,
tagging, RDS, speakers, etc. This probably also keeps the price to
$50. Thanks, but I'll stick to my excellent $10 Sony ICFS10-MK2.
Samsung claims that their chip uses just 155mW, but that can't be
trusted wilh all of the features stripped out of this portable POS.
Struble just wanted to put out some POS portable to justify the FM-HD
power increase. Maybe, the DSP would cause too much interference to an
AM section? I posted a bunch of stuff on my blog about the power
consumption, but decided to delete it because who knows exactly what
these chips are processsing, which appears to be just FM-HD. The lack
of AM-HD should really ****-off the AM-HD broadcasters, as this is a
sign that Struble has pretty much given up on AM-HD.
