I agree as to the harmonic. Also check your IF in your radio: Where
does
29.68 +/- twice your IF land you? If in the 26 MHz range, sometimes
those
were used for broadcast radio links.
29.68 is allocated to the Amateur Radio Service, which forbids music
and
should be FM on that frequency.
It's allocated that way for the US, not necessarily elsewhere. Everywhere
but the US, 40m is an international broadcast band (or, most of it is).
IIRC, our 10m band here in Korea stops around 29 MHz. Our 2m stops at 146
(I
get taxicabs on the upper end of my 2m rig, but can't legally transmit
there)
My IARU chart shows that 10m is the same in all 3 regions - allocated
exclusively to the amateur radio service for 28.0 to 29.7. There are no
internationally recognized exceptions to this range (like there are for
other bands).
