Before the Europeans started settling in America, all of the Land
area(s) East of the Mississippi River were Forest.Except for where the
Indians cleared small areas for their Wig Wams.

Lightning caused many wildfires.That wasen't a bad thing because that
''cleansed'' the Land for new Growth.

The Indians had/have sense enough not to cause any wildfires.
