Telford Electronics has manuals for the thing.

Harris, though, still supports it since it is still a current military
issue item.

They will also work with the RF-350K transceiver... a 350K or an RT1446
service
manual may have the details.

As I recall, there are two different ROM versions for two protocols. One
is
a Harris-proprietary block protocol that has checksums at the end of each
block, and the other one is an ASCII protocol.

Peter Gottleib has some BASIC code to drive some of the Harris gear from
a laptop... years ago he was peter at newyorknerd.com.
