Default Alkalines versus NiMH

I used all wireless mics on all my live radio, TV, and stage shows.
Never a problem with mics due to battery life.

I did notice some wireless mics were intermittent, from time to time.
Traced that to a poor battery fit. Returned from Energizers to Duracells
or ProCells and the problem never returned.

Sennheiser says Duracell/Procell isn't putting enough electrolyte in
their batteries lately and sometimes the paste compacts and makes
intermittent contact inside the battery.

I'll use Lithium for an actual 3 hour show, but for rehearsals, when
mics stay on stage for 4 or 5 hours sometimes, I prefer the alkalines,
so I don't have to interrupt an act in the middle of their rehearsal.
The less the truck sees of me the better.

Our pro stuff (Sennheiser and Shure) tells us the state of the
transmitter battery on the receiver front panel.
