Nonetheless, the page load time on a dialup can be enough motivate one
to find an alternative.
I have measured dialup for $8 a month and Elite DSL (5 Mbps) for $32
month. Together they still cost less than Time-Warner Roadrunner and
work way more reliably. In some areas you don't need a phone # and DSL
is even cheaper.
