Hi,

You can install a Kobitone crystal element in the D-104 mic head,
Mouser.com P/N 25LM022
It has a raising freq characteristic similar to the old Astatic crystal
element.

Electric Radio Magazine, Jan 2010, had the how-to-do-it article.
