What is this, please? *Is this a pirate or legit?

I thought it was the BBC but nothing listed. Could be a pirate
but....15755 is the frequency for "The Disco Palace" a DRM station
which is on now 20:20UT. 15750-15760kHz. *It is supposed to be in
Miami. Maybe they took a break from DRM earlier. At 1500UT they list a
program called "top 3 of the UK singles chart"

I did not think they were giving out DRM licences to US stations.
Maybe its beaming offshore. No idea. I am listening to it now in DRM.
Playing Bee Gees. Good enough signal to support 20.96 kBits/sec -
Stereo transmission format.

After looking again in the SW scehdules I notice that Disco Palace
transmitter (relay) 15755kHz is on Bonaire in the Netherlands,
Antilles. So that explains how they get around the DRM license.

Still a good possible source of that UKRTW broadcast.- Hide quoted text -

Hmmm - I guess without DRM, I'm not there either!

Don't feel bad. Here is a list of stations that I can receive in DRM.
Not too impressive unless you like dance music and TDP and Disco
Palace are on the internet minus the dropouts. Lots of dropouts today
on 15 MHz due to solar activity.
I have not tried the Portugal relay. I tried Radio Australia but it
would not lock in.

0100-0157UT *China via RCI Sackville, NB 6080 kHz
1505-1704UT *RCI Canada via Sackville, NB 9800 kHz
1900-2000UT *TDP Belgium via Bonaire, Neth. Ant. 15755 kHz
1945-2030UT *Vatican Radio via RCI Sackville, NB 9800 kHz
2000-2100UT *Disco Palace Miami via Bonaire, Neth, Ant. 15755kHz
2100-2200UT *RCI Canada via Sackville, NB 9800 kHz
2300-2330UT *Vatican Radio 9755 kHz - Says this is direct - ??? doubt
it

Regular shortwave was better. Heard a ham operator in China on 15
meters today.

Jim, You're lucky - reception here is the pits today. Solar activity
has almost shut 'em down except for the US religious broadcasters...
In fact, I noticed just a few minutes ago that 16m was the best of the
lot.

It's the same here. Middle bands are out. Only heard that one station
on 21MHz. Could have been coming over the north pole. East-West
propagation seems to be way down.

Looks like more of the same today. There are some good stations on 20
meters but they don't seem to be propagating out of Europe:

Usually there are a lot of entries in there by US hams but not today.
