of Afghanistan in which an American captured soldier Bowe Robert Bergdahl
is requesting the American government to do something, so that he can be
released.

He isn't a POW he's a hostage.
None of the measures dictated by the Geneva protocols have
been afforded to him. And he was a uniformed soldier not
some random illegal combattant.
Has the Red Cross seen him for instance?
