Oil Rig explosion four from Mississippi missing

(Sun Herald)

A Hell of a week, and it isn't over yet.

A small tornado spinup (that is what Barbie Bassett at WLBT 4:30 PM tv
news called it, a small tornado spinup) was sighted near Swiftown.
cuhulin, not a spinup

I LOVE tornados. *Wish I was there.

You'd love 'em until you were in one. When I was 12, one touched down just a
couple blocks away from my aunt's house in St. Louis. They are NOT fun to
watch up that close.. : /

Yeah, I was going to respond to Bruce till I saw what you said, you
said that right. I always kind of felt the same way as Bruce till the
mid 90's (I think.) It was maybe three in the morning and I was at a
twenty four hour store and I knew the weather was getting bad. I had
my handheld scanner on with the ear bud and could tell it was getting
realll bad. Me - like a dumbass jumped into my car with all the
antennas and played amateur tornado chaser. It was the dumbest thing I
ever did in my life and if I'd have been maybe a couple minutes
earlier I would have been toast. I learned a couple things that
morning and one of them is if you're going to go chasing trouble in
the sky, don't do it under the cloak of darkness. That nightime/early
morning storm killed I forget how many people and leveled parts of
neighborhoods and crossed the interstate and until just maybe a couple
years ago - you could still see where it took the tops of trees off or
uprooted them on both sides of the highway.
