But slander is a LOT more fun (and often more profitable)!
The National Enquirer and various other pseudo-journalism sources have made quite a profit from slander. When individuals do it, however, you can imagine them as kids pulling the wings off flies. Habitual slander suggests a sociopathic personality disorder.
