The mud and cement failed. The BOP failed. The MMS didn't do their
homework. The fireboats put so much water on the fire the rig sank,
taking the riser to the bottom with it. They should've just let the
thing burn and kept the riser intact. There'd be way less oil in the
gulf right now.

The Halliburton guy is right. They did what they were told, based on
BP's engineers. Somebody greatly misjudged something. I'm guessing
there's more pressure than they thought.
