What party has traditionally been the staunchest ally of BIG OIL?
ALL parties are the ally of BIG OIL. Easily confirmed.
So, confirm it. An honest look will reveal a pretty lopsided
political constituency. BTW, what business did Bushie start in 1978,
again?
What party now tries to point the finger at a Liberal because he was
caught off-guard?
Oh, caught off guard. Nice spin. Was Bush also caught off-gaurd during
Katrina?
No, he wasn't. That storm had several days of fair warning from NOAA
scientists - but then, science was not his "thing" was it? Anyway -
you also won't see me thrusting all the blame at Bush for what
happened with Katrina - the first response in that case should have
been from the State and the City, neither of whom had the foggiest
idea what they were doing when the ocean rose 30 feet. What happened
afterward should have gradually morphed into a federal emergency
program (which it did, poorly).
What party is now crying because their constituents' livelihoods are
being crushed by the very industry they have long supported?
Give ya a hint - they're all the same answer.
You can grouse all you like, but as a liberal I have NEVER supported
offshore drilling or extraction, and I have no sympathy for any
politician right or left who has supported it or has been asleep at
the wheel when tragedy strikes. *If you can find a double standard
there, you're a magician...or else a liar, take your pick.
Funny, Obama supports off-shore drilling.
Actually, it's not funny, and that is one part of his "drilling"
platform that needs to end.
