I bought some LED spotlights for our back path. Run on three "D" cells, IR
activated by motion sensor. The first time I turned one on, it near blinded
me.. it throws a light path for well over 100'... Batteries are supposed to
last around 2 years.



I have a series of 5 watt cree leds on a large aquarium. The plants
grow like crazy. 60 watts of leds seem noticeably brighter than the 160
watts of fluorescent they replaced ... the leds have already come down
in cost since I purchased mine over a year ago ... the focus of the leds
allow the light to used more efficiently, with the fluorescent, a lot of
light was lost out the sides and ends ...
