- I have had 20+ LED Lights for 120-VAC
- with the Standard USA E27-Base.
-
- Only 4~6 have lasted more than a Year
- with out going blank or loosing half the
- individual LEDs in the Bulbs.
-
- Some of these LEDs cost in the $20~$30
-
- IMHO - LEDs are still : Not Ready for Prime Time.

But then again I have had some real good success
with some LEDs : Have 4 Outside Yellow LED Bug
& Security Lites for the Detached Garage that are
now 7 Years Old and run Nightly from D2D.
-use-only- 2 Watts Each -v- 13W

Recently bought a few LED Nite-Lite Bulbs that
actually are as Bright as a 7 Watt Incandescent
Light Bulb. -use-only- 2 Watts Each
-source- SuperBrightLEDs.Com
Model # E-12 WHP3
These were the first that were not too 'dim' to
actually use as a replacement for the older
7 Watt Incandescent Nite-Lite Bulbs
-note- the older 4 Watt Nite-Lite Incandescent
Bulbs were not 'bright' enough either.

- These Mushroom CFLs rated at 120 Watts Light
- http://i00.i.aliimg.com/photo/v0/289..._anion_CFL.jpg
- Output {=Lumens} and use only 30 Watts of Power
- are Good for Reading Lights {Daylight} and Shine
- http://cgi.ebay.com/370294601763
- Well in most places a 100 Watt Incandescent Bulb
- was used before.http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001A0GFCG/
- .
- .

Also have some other Outside Cold Cathode CFLs
[CCFLs or C2FLs] that are now 3 Years Old and
run Nightly from D2D {Yellow Colored used as Bug
& Porch Lites} -use-only- 8 Watts Each -v-13W
