No, no ladders. Some of the rooms had a pulley system installed, but
that wasn't so much to ease access to the facility as to facilitate
access, if you get my drift - and I'm pretty sure you do.

Soon as I was going back down that ladder, an Officer in our Company
(114th Aviation Company) was standing down there, waiting for his turn
to climb that ladder.

Why was he waiting? Was Donkey Kong at the top with an endless supply
of barrels while the timer was ever ticking down the remaining moments
of his life?

If Donkey Kong wasn't up there, I would *totally* have climbed that thing.
