Default I have returned

See, there you go with the assumptions again, Pete. How are we ever
going to get along in this atmosphere of distrust and suspicion? It's
simply not healthy for either us or our relationship.

All that I want is for things to be like they used to be between us -
holding hands and watching the sunset from the beach, or laughing as we
stroll arm-in-arm through the Arboretum in the springtime. The old
magic, Pete, is what I want back. Perhaps I'm just a foolish, dreaming
romantic for thinking this, but... Can't we just *try*?

Have your lawyer call my lawyer.

Fine. If that's how it's going to be, I will. But I warn you, Pete, my
attorney appears on both TV *and* the back of busses. This tells me
that he knows how to cover all the bases, and will savage your attorney
like a baby in a pit-bull's jaws. Perhaps he will even be responsible
for legislation regulating breeding and ownership of his type of lawyer
when all of this is said and done, though that may ultimately lead to a
race of super-solicitors bent on world domination through creative
billing practices. HE'S JUST THAT GOOD.

And I want my Gary Puckett albums back.

Are MP3s OK? The cat peed on the vinyl, and now I don't want to touch
it. Fortunately, I had copied the albums before he relieved himself on
them, and some of the covers are still dry. I could scan them and embed
them as album art for you, so you wouldn't really be missing out on
anything other than ownership of the (cat-****-soaked) records.

P.S.: None of the above should be construed to mean that I will cease
groping you when we ride the bus together.

Animal.

Just because we're having a tiff doesn't mean that I should have to
compromise my principles.
