Actually, DDT is not as banned as one might think ... when I worked for
Occidental Chemical ag chem division in the early 1980's, it was only
necessary to file a wavier claiming nothing but DDT was suitable or
would work for insect control of certain insects and a wavier was
granted for its' use ... I can't remember the name of the product which
contained DDT which still was in use, but it contained 20% DDT ... it is
severely limited in use though ...
