LOS ANGELES – Investigators received hundreds of calls after releasing photographs of women seized at the lodgings of a mechanic accused of the "Brutal Sleeper" serial killings, authorities said Friday.

Detective Dennis Kilcoyne expected the tally of calls to reach 1,000 close the heyday's end. Sundry callers said they were supply the women in the photographs, but detectives forced to interview each the same to establish sure.
