Default St-Pierre dominates Koscheck at UFC 124

MONTREAL – Welterweight winner Georges St-Pierre outpointed trash-talking Josh Koscheck on Saturday evening at UFC 124, attractive 50-45 on all three judges' cards in in advance of a UFC-record 23,152 fans at Bell Centre.

The 29-year-old Montrealer (21-2) carved up Koscheck's appearance with his sock and punished his legs with kicks in his fifth profitable title defense.

"I didn't reach my aim tonight. My aspiration was to take him off, but he was very strong," St-Pierre said.

In the co-main experience, 6-foot-11 Dutch heavyweight Stefan Struve stopped 6-foot-7 Sean McCorkle at 3:55 of the maiden globelike to redeem to 10-1. Also, welterweight Thiago Alves won a unanimous verdict over John Howard, Mac Danzig knocked in default Joe Stevenson, and Jim Miller fit to be tied rising lightweight star Charles Oliveira.
