De Beers has enough diamonds stockpiled, that if they were all put on
the market at once, would make the value of diamonds ZERO. The Russian
were reminded of this and backed off from their plans to greatly expand
their exports.

It seems, we might agree on one thing, diamonds ARE worthless ... many
just don't realize that, yet ... the scarcity of microwave produced
diamonds are even artificially manipulated to keep their price at about
1/3 to 1/2 the cost of diamonds which are mined. As patents expire, in
the future, the prices will plunge ...
