FWIW : There is something like 38 People in the
USA that get Killed every Year from simple Snow
Falling Out of a Tree.
Injured Can't More & Frozen-to-Death
Knocked-Out & Frozen-to-Death
Broken Neck & Dead

During and after the Big/Heavy {Not-So-Great}
Pre-Thanksgiving Snow Storm of the Fall 2010 :

* We had Many Tree Tops Fully Bent-Over like
an Up-Side-Down "J" with the Weight of the Extra
Heavy Snow and them Breaking-Off.
* Had one Big Pine Tree ~125 Feet by the Upper
Pond that Broke-in-Two {Like a Toothpick} 30~35
Feet up in the Air {around 18~24 Inches diameter
up there} with the Top 90~95 Feet laying in the Pond.
* Another Good Size Pine Tree fell across the lower
Dam and broke into three pieces at the brim-edges
of the Dam Road Top.
* Outside you could Hear the Sound of many
Whooshing Snow Falls from Trees and Earth
Shaking Splats !
