Alert! On 27 March 2011 from 0324 UTC tune-in to 0347 off the air
abruptly, I just listened to a Spanish-speaking station playing what
sounded like South American Music on 9905 kHz. Pretty fair signal,
not 100% copy but enough to get the major gist of it. No ID heard.
Audio Recording made. Eibi shows no such station for this frequency.
Aoki currently shows a single station:
9905 R. Dif. America 0000-2400 1234567 Spanish/Guarani 0.2 ND
Asuncion-Villeta PRG 05733W2531S Ameri 25 31
57 33
The Latin American Shortwave Logs archive (linked above by Steve)
shows THIS station:
9905 PRG R Colégio Técnico, Villeta Jun04 C 5 WATTS
(skdMar04 1000-2000) (r)AM1610/FM1079 ex-R America
....apparently from 2004. The listings suggest that the station Aoki
shows as current is an ex-station as of 2004.
Does anyone at all have any more information on this station? This is
rather exciting for me...believing that I might never hear a
Paraguayan station at all, and having this show up. Even more amazing
is that it might be 200 watts non-directional (5 watts sounds
ridiculous...)
Thanks in advance ~
