Actually, there hasn't been a legally elected "US President" for
over a century.

When the government brazenly violates its own structural rules, as
has every "administration" since that of Abraham Lincoln, it cannot
be regarded as legal or constitutional.

When the legislature of Maryland was arrested and imprisoned because
they were about to "vote wrongly" -- when supposed "constitutional
amendments" were enacted under force of military occupation and
dictatorship, and near-total disenfranchisement, how can the
resulting government be regarded as a continuation of the original?
It simply can't.

The best and most honorable policy is to never refer to the current
ruling structure as "the US government" or even "the federal
government." Call it what it is: the illegal regime in Washington.
