As they are the ones who issue passports their threshold is good enough

You don't need a U.S. birth certificate to obtain a U.S. passport.

You're making quite a presumption on blind faith (or hope). AFAIK, there
has not been a FOIA or cognate request for a check of those papers.-


Them guys at the State Department, see, they're better at catching
cheaters than you, and they're smarter than you.

FOIA is irrelevant, as far as you're concerned. State's already done
its job. Keep it separated, man -- they'll do the background checks,
you pump the gas. It'll all work out.
