That's not sufficient - one has to also be subject to the jurisdiction
of the US. (For instance, a diplomat's child, born in the US while the
diplomat is serving here, isn't a citizen.)

Not on having one parent a citizen who'd spent at least 5 years on US
soil. His mother was born in Wichita, and spent most of her life here
before he was born.

Even worse, even IF obama HAD BEEN born an American citizen ... his
schooling in indonesia would have required him to have given up his
American citizenship


Not by US law if he was a child. You can't renounce citizenship until
you're 21. Your parents can't renounce it for you.
