Aside from all that, murders are proved to the satisfaction of unanimous
juries all that time without a body. Long gone are the days of "no body,
no crime." Forensics and DNA matching are amazing things.
If I sat the jury, my first question would be, "What happened to the body?"
If the answer comes back, "I dumped it in the ocean." It would sound a
lot like what I would expect a criminal to say.
Why some think a president is as trustworthy as "God" is a complete
mystery to me; And, especially since so many have been caught lying. I
have a sense that they are no different than trusting anyone else --
perhaps worse!
In our nation, under our Constitution all men are created equal and
entitled to equal protection (and punishments!) under the law ...
I would view my neighbor in a highly suspicious manner if he told me,
"The ocean ate the proof which could have come under the scrutiny of
independent third parties. You will just have to trust me and my gang
on this."
